‘I Do Not Think Showtime Was a Brand that CBS Would Have Trusted Two Years Ago’

Showtime president of entertainment David Nevins was a guest on Bloomberg TV’s “Street Smart” Friday, and he had a few words about the long-running CBS newsmagazine “60 Minutes.” CBS is a sister network to Showtime, and Showtime recently started airing “60 Minutes Sports,” a spin-off of the iconic series.

“’60 Minutes’ is one of the great brands in the history of television,” Nevins said to Bloomberg’s Trish Regan. “I do not think Showtime was a brand that CBS would have trusted two years ago, but now you get in that cycle of everything feeding into each other.”
