Sheridan To EP Weekends On ABC

Chris Sheridan is moving from nights to weekends as the executive producer of ABC’s weekend news content, David Westin announced today. He replaces Craig Bengtson, who recently moved to ESPN.

“Sheridan is responsible for the editorial content and production of the network’s two weekend evening news broadcasts World News Saturday and World News Sunday,” ABC says. He will also oversee ABCNEWS.com and ABC News Now. He’ll report to Paul Slavin.

Sheridan has EPed World News Now and World News This Morning since April 2005. His overnight replacement will be named soon. Click continued for Westin’s quote…
