Shepard Smith, Martha MacCallum to Lead Fox News Royal Wedding Coverage

By Alex Weprin

Fox News Channel has announced its coverage plans for the April 29 Royal Wedding.

Shepard Smith and Martha MacCallum will lead the channel’s coverage from London, and will anchor live starting at 4 AM ET on the wedding day. They will be joined by Gretchen Carlson and Jonathan Hunt reporting from Westminster Abbey, as well as a number of contributors: former Royal butler Paul Burrell, William and Kate: A Royal Love Story author Christopher Anderson, and former “Good Morning America” host Joan Lunden.

FNC will run highlights from the wedding during its primetime programming that evening.

Leading up to the wedding, FNC will televise a special “Countdown to the Royal Wedding” on Sunday, April 24 at 9 PM.

More information, after the jump.

Smith, Carlson and MacCallum will anchor from London all week, and will be joined by Greta Van Susteren, who will host “On the Record” from there starting April 28.

In an unusual move, FNC will simulcast Sky News coverage from 1-6 AM ET on April 27 and 28. Sky News, like Fox News, is owned by News Corp.

FoxNews.com will launch a dedicated Royal Wedding page starting Monday, April 18.
