Shepard Smith, Gretchen Carlson Prepare for New Fox News Roles

Shepard Smith and Gretchen Carlson are saying goodbye to their respective shows as they prepare for new roles at Fox News. Anchoring his last “Fox Report,” last night, Smith said his new role as the network’s primary breaking news anchor is “the most exciting new venture of my career.” Watch:

And this morning on “Fox & Friends,” Carlson — who is set to move to daytime — looked back at her seven years with Steve Doocy and Brian Kilmeade and said an emotional thank you to the team of people that she’s worked with on the morning show. Watch:
