Roger Ailes would have no problem putting Shep Smith up against Brian Williams, Charles Gibson, and Katie Couric.
“I think he’d actually beat ’em,” Ailes tells the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
But we may not know for sure anytime soon. Ailes says:
“The problem would be the station lineup, the power of the stations in the market, the number of clearances you could get, the advertiser demand. There are a lot of pieces to this other than just who do you put out there. That would be the more important consideration.”
