Shawn Kemp Comes Out Of Hibernation To Rip Blake Griffin's Final Dunk

There’s at least one person who wasn’t impressed with Blake Griffin’s dunk over a 2011 KIA Optima at the NBA Slam Dunk Contest.

Former dunking machine Shawn Kemp called out Griffin for his dunk in the finals on KJR in Seattle with Dave Mahler and Ian Furness.

“I’m a big Blake Griffin fan, but that dunk at the contest might’ve been the weakest dunk in the dunk contest that I’ve seen in a long time,” Kemp said. “I love the choir and all that stuff was great, but you at least gotta jump over the car though right.”

Not only did Kemp call the dunk weak, the 14-season veteran claims he could jump over not one, but two cars.

“I’m 41 years old and right now I could do it. Two Smart Cars,” Kemp said.

Stop. Just stop, Shawn. Let the kid have his moment in the spotlight. You aren’t the only high-flying big man in NBA history.
