The AP follows up on Gail Shister‘s reporting: “Bob Schieffer said Tuesday he’s leaning toward accepting an offer to give commentary on the ‘CBS Evening News’ after he’s replaced as anchor by Katie Couric in September.
‘I kind of think this might be something fun to do,’ he said, ‘but I want to make absolutely sure that this is what I want to do.'”
