Sarah Palin Responds to ‘Game Change’ Trailer With A Trailer Of Her Own, Screenwriter Responds to Palin

With HBO’s “Game Change” just a week away (look for TVNewser’s review later this week), former Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin launched a preemptive attack on the film, releasing a “trailer” meant to counteract the TV movie:

Palin is played in the film by Julianne Moore, and according to nearly every review, her portrayal is scathingly negative.

The New York Observer‘s Hunter Walker spoke to the screenwriter, Danny Strong, who says that they offered to screen the film for Palin, and that her camp declines. He also says that the fears of her supporters are misguided:

“Everything in that video is in the movie. If they would have seen the film before they attacked it, they would know that we have dramatized everything that they put in their video that Sarah Palin supporters are proud of,” Mr. Strong said. “She really is a dynamic person that did a lot of amazing things for that campaign.”
