ABC’s The View announced Wednesday Sara Haines has been named a co-host for the show’s 20th season, joining returning co-hosts Joy Behar, Candace Cameron Bure, Paula Faris and Raven-Symoné.
Haines has been a pop news anchor on weekend editions of Good Morning America.
When the new season begins in September, The View will also feature Sunny Hostin, who joined ABC News in February as legal analyst and host, and Jedediah Bila, who announced on Wednesday’s The Five that today was her last day at the network.
“We have such a smart, funny and fearless group of women who bring unparalleled passion and opinions to the hot topics table every single day,” said The View’s executive producer Candi Carter. “We have an exciting season 20 planned and plenty of surprises in store.”
