By Chris Ariens

Sarah Demarest is leaving NBC News and joining CBS News as a DC-based supervising producer for CBS This Morning.

Demarest spent more than a decade at the Today show, also based in Washington.

“Working with NBC’s most seasoned correspondents, Sarah also produced live coverage of breaking news events in DC and beyond, including four presidential elections, the death of Osama bin Laden and the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines flight 370,” writes senior producer Chloe Arensberg in a note to staff.
