PRIMARY ISSUES IS A NEW SERIES ADRESSING THE IMPORTANCE OF THE 50+ VOTER, AND THE ISSUES MOST CRITICAL TO THEM IN THE UPCOMING ELECTIONS

RLTV Series, Which Debuts on October 31,

Will Feature Monologues by Ben Stein

BALTIMORE, MD, October 25, 2011 — RLTV, the only cable network that provides information and entertainment that helps Redefine Life after 50, announced today that renowned journalists Sam Donaldson, Cokie Roberts, Consuelo Mack and John Palmer will host its upcoming series, Primary Issues. The series examines the critical issues facing both the 2012 candidates and the 50+ voters, who are at the epicenter of many of the issues and could very well provide the margin of victory to candidates. Primary Issues debuts the first of four episodes on Monday, October 31 at 9:00 PM, and runs each night at 9:00 PM through Thursday, November 3 on RLTV.

Primary Issues will cover a broad range of topics from anchor desks in Washington, DC, hosted by Cokie Roberts and Sam Donaldson, and in New York hosted by Consuelo Mack. John Palmer will report from the field, interviewing candidates, Boomer and senior voters, while Ben Stein will provide commentary and monologues for each show.

“Elections are about candidates, and voters, and with Primary Issues our goal is to reinforce the critical importance of the 50+ voter. They are not a monolithic voting block. They care about more than just Social Security and Medicare, and many will swing their vote if a candidate/party is not delivering,” said Elliot Jacobson, Senior VP Programming and Production, RLTV. “Primary Issues delivers an in-depth look at the voters, the issues and the candidates to RLTV viewers, who are the margin of victory in the upcoming elections.”

The show’s journalists will interview thought leaders, candidates, elected officials, and business leaders, including: Frank Luntz, Mark Mellman, Senator John Barrasso (R-Wyoming), Rep. Charles Rangel (D-New York), Rep. Alan West (R-Florida), Rep. Barney Frank (D-Massachusetts), Douglas Brinkley, Tom Daschle, Dick Armey, Rep. Donna Edwards (D-Maryland), Nancy Leamond-AARP, John Erickson, Dee Dee Myers, and Mort Zuckerman.

The series will include discussions on leading issues in the 2012 White House and Congressional races, including the economy, unemployment, taxes, Social Security, preservation of Medicare and Medicaid and how to manage the federal government’s $14 trillion debt.

Watch Primary Issues all week, starting Monday, October 31 at 9:00 PM on RLTV.
