Sam Champion dropped in on former rival the “Today” show this morning. Last month, the longtime “Good Morning America” meteorologist signed on with The Weather Channel, which is part-owned by NBCUniversal. Using his new NBC id, Champion was welcomed into the studio, got hugs all around, and pulled up a chair at the desk and chatted about his new Weather Channel gig.
“Having Al and Sam at the same table, I would call this a weather forecaster vortex,” joked Savannah Guthrie.
