Weather Channel anchor Sam Champion is taking his talents from one Atlanta-based news network to another–for two days anyway. Champion will be on HLN’s Morning Express with Robin Meade tomorrow and Wednesday of this week, filling in for Bob Van Dillen.
Champion, who was based in Atlanta after he left ABC for the Weather Channel in 2013, has since returned to New York where he hosts a weekly show called 23.5. His current contract at Weather Channel is up soon, insiders tell us.
Champion and Meade have worked together in the past, serving as co-hosts for the 40th annual Daytime Emmys in 2013.
