Former MSNBC contributor Rula Jebreal, who made waves last month for criticizing MSNBC’s “disgustingly biased” Gaza coverage, appeared on CNN this morning to continue making her point.
“We are failing to tell the Palestinian story, which is not the Hamas story,” Jebreal said to Chris Cuomo on “New Day.”
“That’s very tough to separate the two,” Cuomo responded, noting that Hamas was elected by Palestinians and has a main principle that “Israel should not exist.”
Cuomo continued that Jebreal should be cautious about generalizing: “You have to be careful with the word we…just as you can generalize on how things are done wrong on the government side, you have to be specific on who you’re talking about in the media.” Jebreal recently spoke to TVNewser, calling coverage of the ongoing conflict “tragic.”
