Rove, Abrams and Varsity Journalism

One more storyline from the FNC TCA panel centers around one journalist in particular: Roger Catlin of the Hartford Courant.

Catlin was identified in several stories as the journalist who got the hardball questions rolling on Monday related to Karl Rove and Congress’ subpoena. But one particular answer from Rove, as noted in Catlin’s story, calls out MSNBC’s Dan Abrams.

“I would just simply point you to the MSNBC website to find a letter that I send to Dan Abrams which is pretty lengthy but goes over a series of questions that a beginning high school journalist would have asked had this issue been put in front of them,” said Rove.

The Abrams-Rove tension goes back to April, when, after being attacked by Abrams re: Don Siegelman, the FNC contributor sent a letter to Abrams.

Last night, Abrams responded to Rove over the “high school” comments. “Mr. Rove, since you’re going after me publicly, I’m going to now state to you the three questions that I still want to hear you answer,” he said. “Under oath, not under oath, doesn’t matter to me.”
