GMA“Good Morning America” co-anchor Robin Roberts reacted to her show’s busy week, talking to “Entertainment Tonight” last night at a SeriousFun Children’s Network event about Josh Elliott’s departure and Michael Strahan’s arrival.

“I had serious fun with Josh Elliott,” Roberts said, praising him as multi-talented and multi-faceted. “But we all know at heart he was a sports guy,” adding viewers could sense Elliott’s love of sports. “Anybody that watched the program would see how he would just light up,” she continued about Elliott’s love for talking sports on “GMA.”

Roberts is also looking forward to welcoming another sports lover to “GMA”: ‘Live with Kelly and Michael” co-host, and former New York Giants defensive end Michael Strahan, who will start contributing semi-regularly to the show.

“We fell in love with him,” Roberts said of Strahan, who filled in for her a few times when she was off-air being treated for a rare blood disorder. “I have had the pleasure of filling in for Kelly Ripa, and sitting next to him. He is great.”
