Robin Roberts Returning to ‘GMA’ Full Time

Robin Roberts will return to anchoring “Good Morning America” five days a week beginning next week, she tells People. “I’m looking forward to it. I want to get back to my full life,” Roberts said, adding she feels “90 percent of myself again.”

Roberts’ full-time return to the “GMA” anchor desk comes nearly a year after undergoing a bone marrow transplant as she battled MDS. She has been anchoring the show a few days a week since February. Roberts recently returned from a vacation in Hawaii, which she said was “a time of renewal and reflection.”

“In the hospital I had a picture of the beach in Maui and that was my motivation, so to have all my friends who loved me through this past year there was all I needed,” she told People.
