Robin Roberts Launches Podcast

By Mark Joyella

Good Morning America co-host Robin Roberts had a busy week. On Thursday she sat-down with President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for a joint interview at the new National Museum of African American History and Culture in Washington, D.C.

Earlier in the week, Roberts launched a podcast based on her book, Everybody’s Got Something, focusing on interviews with people who have faced “incredible real life challenges.”

“I am thrilled to launch this podcast,” said Roberts. “My first job was in radio and it feels like I’m going back to my roots. I now have the chance to extend the conversation with guests beyond their time on GMA and connect in an intimate setting. These remarkable people share their incredible real life challenges and I hope they will inspire our listeners’ to face their ‘somethings.'”

“The best podcasts create an intimacy with their listeners,” said ABC Radio vice president Steve Jones. “Robin Roberts’ Everybody’s Got Something represents the highest level of this art form. You will be inspired, humored and deeply moved by the personal stories you hear.”

The first three episodes of the seven-episode season were released on Tuesday. Go to ABCNewsPodcasts.com to hear them.
