At the start of this morning’s “Good Morning America,” Robin Roberts said she “slept like a baby last night for the first time since my diagnosis.” Roberts underwent her first pre-treatment procedure Monday for an eventual bone marrow transplant which will occur later this summer. Her sister is her donor.
“My family and I are comforted by the loving, tremendous response from everyone,” said Roberts.
George Stephanopoulos then read a Tweet from Michelle Obama:
.@RobinRoberts, Barack and I have you in our prayers. We believe in you and thank you for bringing awareness and hope to others. –mo

Roberts also spoke with Ann Romney “who’s had her own challenges,” Roberts said. “It’s really been comforting,” said Roberts of the outpouring of support.
