White House press secretary Robert Gibbs was on all of the morning cable shows today to talk about tax negotiations. Gibbs was on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” at 7:15amET, CNN’s “American Morning” at 7:30amET, and “Fox & Friends” at 7:40amET.

- Gibbs told George Stephanopoulous on ABC’s “Good Morning America” that “some” staff changes will be made before the president heads to Hawaii for vacation: “I think some certainly will. I don’t know that all of them will be made before the end of the year. But I’d anticipate that some will.”
- On NBC’s “Today” Gibbs told Meredith Vieira: “The president believes that somewhere in all of this, we can find common ground. …The American people… didn’t vote in November for gridlock.”
- Gibbs told CBS’s “The Early Show” that he really believes Obama will be able to win Senate ratification of the New START nuclear weapons treaty with Russia before Christmas.
