Megyn Kelly to Produce Comedy Series on Campaign Embeds

By Mark Joyella

Fox News host Megyn Kelly will reportedly produce a news scripted series about five young embedded journalists covering presidential campaigns, a comedy to be called “Embeds.”

Variety reports six half-hour episodes have been ordered by Go90, a streaming platform owned by Verizon. The show’s pilot, planned to stream on Election Day, was written by former CNN correspondent Peter Hamby and Sarah Palin biographer Scott Conroy:

Sources say the two began talking about the project during the 2008 presidential campaign. In 2016, when election coverage was even more magnified, the duo saw a heightened need to explore the world of the embedded campaign-trail journalist and felt a scripted TV show was the best way to do so.
