josh elliott“Good Morning America” news anchor Josh Elliott is asking for a big raise, The New York Post Page Six reports.

Elliott’s agents reportedly asked for an equal bump in salary to co-anchor Robin Roberts after she re-signed in December for a high seven figures salary.

One source told us, “Josh started as news anchor, but his role has increased significantly and he is an integral part of the success of the show. He is not asking for as much money as Robin, but an equivalent raise.”

The story says Elliott has also spoken with NBC News, but his goal is to stay with ABC. He’s been part of “GMA’s” ride to the top of the morning show heap, joining the show in April 2011 a year before it overtook “Today” as the top rated morning program.

We’ve reached out to ABC News, but did not immediately hear back.
