Ratings: Obama Exclusive Fails to Move the Needle For CNN’s ‘New Day’

“New Day” capped off a week of major interviews Friday with Chris Cuomo’s exclusive sit down with President Obama. The CNN morning show finished third in both Total Viewers and the A25-54 demographic for the day, averaging 280,000 viewers and 91,000 viewers, respectively.

Compared to the same day last week, “New Day” was up +9% in Total Viewers and down -11% in A25-54 viewers on Friday. Ratings peaked during the 8amET hour, when the largest chunk of the interview aired, with 323,000 Total Viewers and 101,000 A25-54 viewers.

For the week, CNN’s morning show finished third in Total Viewers and fourth, behind HLN’s “Morning Express,” in the A25-54 demographic. See the weekly averages after the jump.
