MSNBC anchor Rachel Maddow spoke at the Theodore H. White Lecture at the JFK School of Government, Institute of Politics at Harvard on Sunday, Nov 14, about how TV news is destroying democracy and how she tries to promote it.
Maddow told the crowd of over 300 people:

“The way I think about my patriotic responsibilities is to force policy onto the air, as opposed to just politics.”

The MSNBC anchor was concerned that TV news is damaging politics, but says that “we are making a killing doing it.”
