Last night’s screening for CNN’s Planet in Peril began with a music video: clips from the 4-hour HD documentary set to a new song from R.E.M., a song that won’t officially be released until 2008. R.E.M.’s front man Michael Stipe says, “We are honored to have our song included in this monumental project. The images in the film are beautiful, while at the same time heart-breaking and frightening.”
The video, set to “Until the Day Is Done,” premieres tomorrow night on Anderson Cooper 360. Planet in Peril, airs October 23 & 24 at 9pmET.
