Q3 ’06: Everyone Is Down

Fox News Channel saw a “significant” drop in primetime in the third quarter of 2006, MediaWeek says. FNC was “down 35 percent in total viewers and off 38 percent in the 25-54 demo” in primetime. CNN, meanwhile, “dropped 24 percent… in total viewers and fell 31 percent among the 25-54 demo.”

More: “CNN Headline News was down 28 percent in total viewers and fell another 29 percent in the news demo, while MSNBC dropped 22 percent in overall ratings and 25 percent among 25-54s. Only last-place CNBC showed growth in the quarter, gaining 9 percent in total viewers, which was offset by a 9 percent fall-off in the 25-54 demo.”
