Q2 2012 Ratings: HLN Down Across the Board

Like the rest of the cable networks, HLN struggled during Q2 2012. Compared to the same quarter last year, HLN’s ratings are down double digits across the board.

The ratings for Q2, 2012:

  • Primetime (Mon-Sun): 551,000 Total Viewers / 171,000 A25-54
  • Total Day (Mon-Sun): 358,000 Total Viewers / 128,000 A25-54

Compared to Q2 2011, HLN is down -32% in Total Viewers and -25% in A25-54 viewers in Total Day. In primetime, the network is down -36% in Total Viewers and -30% in the demographic. This time last year, HLN was heavily covering the Casey Anthony trial, which began in late May.

In primetime, Jane Velez-Mitchell’s 7pmET program is down -46% in Total Viewers and -45% in A25-54 viewers compared to the same quarter last year. Nancy Grace’s 8pmET program is down -50% in Total Viewers and -41% in A25-54 viewers. “Dr. Drew,” at 9pmET, is down -53% in Total Viewers and -49% in
