With Allison Williams starring in tonight’s “Peter Pan Live!” event, Brian Williams is taking the night off from “NBC Nightly News” to be a proud dad. Lester Holt will anchor in his absence and Williams will be back in his usual chair on Friday.
The special does not have a studio audience, but that won’t stop the NBC newser, who Jimmy Fallon recently called “Pater Pan Senior,” from being front and center for his daughter’s big night.
“We will be watching the broadcast — immediate family only — sequestered in an undisclosed location — close enough to the production as to burst through the stage door the moment the credits roll,” Williams told TVNewser.

“Peter Pan Live!” airs tonight at 8 pm ET on NBC.
