President Trump Continues to Label CNN ‘Fake News’

By Chris Ariens

Donald Trump‘s “running war with the media” as he called it on Saturday, continued tonight. In between tweets about his meeting with auto CEOS and the “carnage” in Chicago, Trump tweeted about the inauguration ratings applauding Fox News for having viewership “many times higher” than CNN. Among total viewers, during the actual swearing-in, that is an actual fact.

Trump’s feud with the media, especially CNN, intensified after this report two weeks ago.

In an interview last week, CNN Worldwide president Jeff Zucker said, “the perception of Donald Trump in capitals around the world is shaped, in many ways, by CNN. Continuing to have an adversarial relationship with that network is a mistake.”

Pres. Trump has two sit-down network TV interviews scheduled over the next couple of days, with ABC’s David Muir in a special airing Wednesday night, and with FNC’s Sean Hannity airing Thursday night.

Update: Late Tuesday night CNN’s PR team responded to Trump’s tweet, by sharing cumulative full day viewership for both CNN and Fox News:
