Police, Then Dog, Chase Suspect. Cablers Cover

MSNBC and FNC covered a police pursuit (via their affiliates KNBC and KTTV) this morning in Downey, California. But this was no ordinary chase. After a pursuit on the 110 freeway, the two suspects and driver jumped out on a side street.

The TV choppers followed one of them as he jumped from rooftop to rooftop, ran through backyards and was chased by a dog. Said MSNBC anchor Tamron Hall, “He’s out of breath. His pants are coming down and he’s being chased by a neighborhood dog. You can’t make this stuff up.”

That suspect was taken down by police in the backyard of a home at 8:19amPT. The cable channels moved off the story soon after.
