Piers Morgan Signs On for 2 Years With DailyMail.com

By Chris Ariens

Former CNN host Piers Morgan has signed a new two-year contract to continue as U.S. editor at large of DailyMail.com.

“It’s been an exhilarating experience to see my columns debated on social media from Baltimore to Beijing, often attracting a bigger audience than I enjoyed at CNN,” said Morgan. “I look forward to two more years of stimulating debate over issues as diverse as the U.S. presidential election and the Syrian war to Cecil the Lion and Kim Kardashian‘s torso.”

In May, Morgan told TVNewser about his role with the world’s largest English newspaper website: “They wanted me to play off the stuff I did at CNN in terms of talking about social issues or entertainment. I have a completely free brief.”

“He’s not afraid to push the envelope and he always has a unique view that our readers want to hear – even the ones that don’t agree what he has to say will read his column and share their opinion,” said Martin Clarke, publisher and editor-in-chief.
