Piers Morgan on Jay Leno Tonight, Will He Talk Larry King?

By Alex Weprin

Tonight “America’s Got Talent” judge Piers Morgan will be a guest on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno.” While Morgan is presumably there to discuss the semi-finals of the NBC talent show, Leno has promised to ask about that other show Morgan is said to be pursuing, telling viewers yesterday (after interviewing Fox News Channel’s Bill O’Reilly):

“Tomorrow night, “America’s Got Talent’s” Piers Morgan will drive — will drive by? will drop by. [ laughter ] But he’ll probably drive here and then drop by. Now, he’s supposed to be replacing Larry King. did you know this? Ooh, oh, yes. [ audience ohs ] We’ll find out what’s going on.”

So, will Morgan come clean? Or will he dodge and weave?

All that plus musical guest Jaron & The Long Road to Love, tonight at 11:35.

• As Don Day notes in the comments, NBC is teasing “an announcement” tonight. Maybe, as part of the deal that lets Morgan have a show on CNN, he has to announce it on NBC? We will find out tonight (or this evening on the East Coast, when “The Tonight Show” tapes).

• Clips from O’Reilly’s appearance on the show last night are after the jump. He talks about his now-legendary Yankee Stadium photo
