The PBS nightly news program “Worldfocus,” which premiered in September, had its best night ever last night in the overnight household rating, averaging 330,478.
The previous high for the New York-based, internationally-focused show was on Monday of this week. Its closest competitor, BBC World News (which airs on PBS as well as on BBC America on cable) averaged 256,951 last night in the overnight, metered markets.
The program is anchored by former CNN and NBC correspondent Martin Savidge and airs at various times depending on the market.
