TV’s sugary supercook Paula Deen told Al Roker she’s been battling diabetes for three years. This morning on “Today” Roker asked Deen why it took her three years to tell her fans about the diagnosis: “I said. ‘I’m going to keep this close to my chest for the time being.'”
Roker pointed out that Deen is a paid spokesperson for Novo Nordisk, the drug company that supplies her diabetes medicine. “I have been compensated, just as you are for your work … yes,” said Deen.
