Paula Deen Booked To Appear On ‘Today’ Wednesday

By Alex Weprin

There is no going back now. After ditching her planned interview with MattLauer on “Today” last week, Paula Deen’s career quickly spiraled. A handful of hastily edited apology videos later, and Food Network announced that it would not be renewing the southern cook’s contract.

Now, Deen has been booked to appear on “Today” Wednesday morning in an “exclusive live interview.” Lauer told viewers this morning: “We are told she will be here this time.”

“Today” ran a segment on Deen on the controversy over her firing this morning.
