Palin’s First Post-Election Sit-Down Goes to Greta

By SteveK

Drudge is reporting Gov. Sarah Palin will sit down with FNC’s Greta Van Susteren for her first post-election interview, to air Monday night.

Since early Wednesday morning, a Newsweek story and a report from FNC’s Carl Cameron have featured unnamed McCain campaign staffers blasting Palin and attributing the loss to her.

Van Susteren has published dozens of emails on her Gretawire blog from readers unhappy with Cameron and other reporters putting the McCain campaign’s attacks on air without attribution.

This morning on Gretawire, she revisited the topic. “The sniping at Gov. Palin after the election by ‘anonymous’ sources is rotten,” she writes. “I have said over and over and over again, it is our job in journalism to be aggressive in challenging politicians…but it is not right to gratuitously trash someone…and worse, it becomes ‘conventional wisdom’ giving some journalists blinders.”

On CNN, Campbell Brown also took on the campaign last night for their scapegoating of Palin. “Sarah Palin is who she is, which is why I find it so stunning that the very people who introduced us to her, who told us she would make a great vice president, have now turned on her with a vengeance.
