Oscars Morning: “Slumdog” Cast/Crew Live on Today

By Chris Ariens

The Oscar-winning director of Slumdog Millionaire Danny Boyle, as well as the producer and editors, who also took home awards, and some of the cast of the sleeper hit all appeared live on the Today show this morning, still in their Oscar attire. It was 4am pacific time.

Today show co-anchor Meredith Vieira conducted the interview live from Hollywood. Vieira also happens to be the host of the American version of “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?” (If you haven’t seen the movie, the Indian version of the show is central to the plot.)

Vieira has been a champion of the film since its release, calling it “one of the best movies I’ve ever seen.” “Today” also got the first post-nomination interviews with Boyle and the cast. And Vieira even got the two lead actors to re-enact some of the dance moves in the final scene of the film. (Clip after the jump)
