O’Reilly: “I’m So Misunderstood”

By SteveK

FNC’s Bill O’Reilly appeared on Good Morning America this morning to discuss his new book, “A Bold Fresh Piece of Humanity,” with Robin Roberts. ABCNews.com published an excerpt.

Although the timely subject of the economy was the main topic, O’Reilly described his most personal memoir later in the interview. “It’s kind of like going into Dr. Frankenstein’s lab,” he said. “How’d that monster actually rise from the slab?!”

He joked about people’s reaction so far to the cover (a picture of a 9-year-old O’Reilly). “Here’s what I get: ‘What happened?'” he said.

Later in the interview, the FNC anchor got serious as he described his “key to life.” “Whatever life throws you, you’ve just got to look it in the eye. You’ve got to either beat it, or go down fighting,” said O’Reilly.
