One Year Later, Networks Return to Moore, OK

By Merrill Knox

One year after an EF5 tornado killed 24 people in Moore, the cable and broadcast networks are back in the Oklahoma town to cover the first anniversary of the devastating storm. All the anchors and correspondents in Moore this year also covered the tornado’s aftermath from Oklahoma last year.

Ginger Zee was live from Moore for “Good Morning America” today. Matt Lauer anchored “Today” from New York, but showed interviews from a recent trip to cover the anniversary. NBC News also has Gabe Gutierrez in Moore for the network and for MSNBC. Casey Stegall is there for Fox News, George Howell is there for CNN and Thomas Roberts is there for MSNBC. Roberts hosted “Way Too Early” live from Moore this morning.
