On The Philly Election Day Beat

One of the stories on the cablers has been potential voting issues in states ranging from Connecticut to Florida. In Philadelphia alone, two reporters encountered some interesting happenings at two polling locations.

FNC’s Rick Leventhal has reported several times from a polling location where a voter said he had been intimated by a Black Panther. Throughout the morning, the police were called to remove Leventhal from the area, then he returned after it was deemed he could legally report more than 10 feet away from the door. “I want to make very clear that we don’t have any information that any voters were denied entrance to this polling facility,” he warned in a recent report. He also interviewed one of the Black Panthers:

CNN’s Brian Todd interviewed a voter from the Philadelphia area, Ron Jones, this morning about the long lines. At the end of the short interview, Jones said he “decided to come back and vote a couple times.” It’s not clear if he was joking, but Todd played it off, saying “I think that’s against the law, but it’s okay,” while throwing it back to Tony Harris in the studio. Of course, he could have just misspoke, and meant that he decided to come back a couple times and vote:
