Today ABC aired Joy Behar’s final edition of “The View” as co-host. It was a star-studded affair, with Regis Philbin, Joan Rivers and Meredith Vieira all stopping by to wish her well.
Barbara Walters got emotional, as she wished Behar well:
“Anytime things can got too sentimental, you could always rely on Joy to punch a hole in the conversation and bring us back to reality,” she quipped. “Whatever you choose to do, it will be smart and provocative. I love you Joy.”
Behar, in her final words, decided to speak up on behalf of the ABC News anchor, and mention her former “ABC Evening News” colleague.
“Barbara, what can I say Barbara, thank you for asking me to join the table all these years ago,” Behar said. “If you will allow me to say so, there is something I have been wanting to say on your behalf for 16 years. F*ck Harry Reasoner.”
