On Cable News Today, Honoring Freedom and Remembering JFK

By Chris Ariens

The cable networks are keeping their cameras trained on Washington DC today.

This morning President Obama awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom to 16 recipients, including Loretta Lynn, Oprah Winfrey, Ben Bradlee and former Pres. Bill Clinton.

Then this afternoon at Arlingon National Cemetery the president and First Lady along with the Bill and Hillary Clinton laid at wreath the grave of Pres. Kennedy ahead of Friday’s 50th anniversary of his assassination. Members of the Kennedy family were also on hand. Kennedy’s only surviving child, Caroline, arrived in Japan this week where she takes up the Ambassadorship there.
