Politico’s Jonathan Leigh Solomon introduced his “Christmas in July Legislative Agenda,” including the “Appropriation of Rush Limbaugh’s Salary Act,” and “The McCain-Obama Campaign Reform Bill” (not what you think).
Two TV news related items that stood out:
Reduce Keith Olbermann’s Ego Act:
Provisions include changing the time slot for “Countdown” from 8 p.m. ET every weeknight to 2 a.m. PT on every third Thursday during Lent. Also provides increased worker compensation for any camera operator struck by flying spittle during an Olbermann “special comment.”
Campaign Strategist Chyron Entitlement Bill:
FOX, MSNBC and CNN are not entitled to identify a female guest as a campaign strategist solely because she is a blonde and/or was recently victorious in a closely contested race for prom queen.
