President Obama holds a news conference at 11amET on his negotiations with Congress on the nation’s debt.
The cable networks will carry the news conference. We’ve also learned CBS News will produce a special report with Scott Pelley anchoring and Chip Reid at the White House. Today is new CBS News chief White House correspondent Norah O’Donnell’s first day at CBS. She’s getting acquainted with CBS News this week and will begin appearing on air next week. ABC’s George Stephanopoulos anchors a special report from New York with Jake Tapper and Jonathan Karl reporting from Washington. NBC’s Brian Williams will anchor a special report from New York. Martha MacCallum is anchoring a FOX special report.
