NY Knicks Announcer Spero Dedes Arrested For DWI

Radio broadcaster Spero Dedes was arrested 4th of July weekend for driving while intoxicated in Southampton, New York.

Dedes, who was just hired as the radio voice of the New York Knicks, was stopped Sunday morning at 4:12 a.m. for speeding.

Police officers noticed the 32-year-old was intoxicated and he was charged with a DWI. He posted $500 bail in court.

Dedes’ attorney, Colin Astarita, told Patch.com that he anticipates a “complete dismissal of the charges due to problems surrounding Mr. Dedes traffic stop and ultimate arrest.”
