No Spin: O’Reilly’s Super Bowl Prediction is Closest

By SteveK

Every year, celebrities compete for the Scripps Howard Super Sage Award trophy, in which more than 100 stars of “movies, TV, sports, politics and pop culture” give their prediction for the Super Bowl’s final score.

Taking home the tvnewser award this year was Bill O’Reilly, who picked Pittsburgh to win 24-17 (they won 27-23). Wolf Blitzer thought the Steelers would blow out the Cardinals (42-10) and Alexis Glick picked Arizona to pull off the 24-17 upset. Chris Matthews was right by picking Pittsburgh, but didn’t give a score.

In the entire contest, the winner was actress Patricia De Leon, who had it 27-24 in favor of the Steelers.
