‘Nightline’ Wins Second Straight Week in Total Viewers

DAN ABRAMS, JUJU CHANG, DAN HARRISWith 1,559,000 viewers for the week of April 21, ABC’s “Nightline” won its second week straight in total viewers. It is the third time in four weeks the ABC newscast has won in total viewers.

“Nightline” was second, behind “Late Night with Seth Meyers,” in the A25-54 and A18-49 demographics. CBS’s “Late, Late Show with Craig Ferguson” was third across the board.

“Nightline” is up year-over-year in all three ratings measurements: +4% in total viewers, +2% in A25-54 viewers and +4% in A18-49 viewers.

ABC’s ratings are based on a 25-minute broadcast, while CBS and NBC are based on approximately 50 minutes (prior to the final national commercial break of each program).
