“Nightline” continues its run as the #1 show in late night. With the just-released May sweeps numbers, the ABC News show had its first ever back-to-back May sweeps victories.
“Nightline” was #1 in all keyy demos: Total Viewers (3.882 million), A25-54 (1.501 million) and A18-49 (1.176 million). The show had its largest May sweep win over “The Tonight Show” in the A18-49 and A25-54 demos in 17 years – since May 1995.
The Tuesday, May 22 airing of “Nightline,” following the finale of “Dancing with the Stars” drew 5.21M Total Viewers, the show’s best since Nov. 22, 2011 which was the finale of the Fall edition of “DWTS.”
ABC’s ratings are based on a 25-minute broadcast, while CBS and NBC are based on approximately :50 minutes (prior to the final national commercial break of each program).
