The good news keeps coming for Nightline. The ABC News program topped CBS’ Late Show with David Letterman in Total Viewers and the A25-54 demo for the third straight week.
The last time Nightline beat Letterman for three consecutive weeks was during the writer’s strike last Nov/Dec. But then, Letterman was in reruns. The last time Nightline beat Letterman for three consecutive weeks when both were running original shows was in April/May of 2003, at the start of the Iraq war. For the week of July 21-25:
• Nightline averaged 3.02M Total Viewers & 1.40M A25-54 viewers.
• Late Show averaged 2.87M Total Viewers & 1.34M A25-54 viewers.
