Not only is “Nightline” continuing its #1 run in late-night — now eight weeks in first with Total Viewers and winning 7 of the last 8 weeks in the A25-54 and A18-49 demos — but the show is the only late night program up in those younger demos. “Nightline” had week-to-week increases in A25-54 (+2%) and A18-49 (+5%) while CBS’ “The Late Show” was down -5% and -6%, respectively and and NBC’s “The Tonight Show” was down -2% and -4%, respectively. Last week, the Leno and Letterman shows were originals.
Season to date, “Nightline” remains first in late-night among Total Viewers, A25-54 and A18-49. It’s the first time ever that “Nightline” has been in first place at this point since at least the 1993-94 season, when “Letterman” began on CBS.
ABC’s ratings are based on a 25-minute broadcast, while CBS and NBC are based on one hour.
